Bella & Duke - From Barn to Board

A hybrid live action, 2D and 3D animated explainer video produced in collaboration with fourfooteleven.com for Bella & Duke, to promote the safety and health benefits of their raw pet food.

As the Bella & Duke team were exhibiting a stand at the London Vet Show in just over a month's time, it was helpful to be able to pitch the idea and execution for an explainer video from the ground up. This way we were able to keep the project achievable in the time limit.

Three initial scripts were pitched to the client, who liked the miniature factory and farm concept. From there a visual style for the characters was developed and the motion blocked out in a 3D animatic. This quickly ironed out any issues with pacing or visual clarity that a storyboard would not pick up on.

Characters were illustrated in Adobe Illustrator on iPad, and animated with Limber in After Effects. 3D scenes were created in Cinema4D and rendered with Octane both locally and via render farm to meet the November deadline.
